Ammini Kozhukattai Recipe

Ammani Kozhukattai is the famous south Indian recipe that prepared during the periods of festivals. It is kept in the front of the pujas as the prasadham. On the other hand, it referred as the simple recipe, which prepared in very short time. This dish is liked by every humans of all age. 

Ingredients for preparing Kozhukkatai:
  • Half cup of Rice flour 
  • Salt - needed
  •  Two tbsp of Coconut 
  • Hot Water - as needed
  • One tsp of Mustard seeds 
  • Half tsp of Urad dhal 
  • Hing (Perungayam ) - a pinch
  • Two tsp of Ulunthu Stuffing 
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
Process for preparing Kozhukkatai: 
  • Put the rice flour in the vessel and make it into the dough by mixing along with hot water little by little
  • Stir the blend until it become soft but sticky
  • After that apply ghee in your palm and take small amount of blend and rotate well with your hand
  • Rotate the ball until the outer position of the ball seems to be shiny
  • Heat the pan and add the mustard seeds, urad dhal let it crackle then add curry leaves,red chillies, turmeric powder and coconut and mix well
  • Add the salt to taste
  • Put the ball shaped Kozhukkatai into the pan to fry
  • Ready to serve

Prawns in best coconut lime


A prawn is the most delicious food with more vitamin B contents. It is rich in low fat, protein, zinc and iron. Prawns are free from pesticides than vegetables. Here we give you excellent preparation of prawns with coconut lime.

Ingredients:
  • Large prawns- 1kg peeled and deveined
  • Salt- 2 tsp
  • Sugar- 2 tsp
  • Thick coconut milk- ½ cup
  • Onions- 3 spring sliced thinly
  • Green chills chopped-3
  • Lime juice- 5 tsp

Method to prepare:

Clean the prawns with 1 tsp salt. Leave the mixture for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cold water. Drain and pat dry. Toss the whole mixture with sugar, lemon juice, and remaining bowl with salt and leave it from 10 minutes. Arrange all the prawns and marinate in a heat proof dish. Pour all the coconut cream over them and cover in the microwave for 4 minutes. Heart the micro oven until the prawn color changes to pink color. Garnish the whole spring onions and chilies. Serve with rice.

Splendid Chana dal payasam

The excellent mouth watering sweet dish preferred by everyone is chana dal payasam. We will show clearly about the preparation in detail. This preparation is really time consuming and easy to make.

 



 

 Ingredients:
  • Chana Dal OrKadale Bele-1 cup
  •  Grated coconut- ½ cup
  • Jaggery- 3/4 cup
  • Poppy seeds-3 tsp
  • Ghee-1 tsp
  • Cashew nuts-10
  • Raisins or Kishmish- 10Cardamom- 2

Method to prepare:

Wash all the chana dal neatly .Soak the dal for about 2 cups of water for 15 minutes. Pressures cook the dal with the same water for about 2 whistles. Grind all the poppy seeds, grated coconut and cardamom with little water and mix well in the grinder. In a large vessel add jaggery and 1 cup of water and heat well until the jaggery melts well add all the ground paste cook all the chana dal again with all the ingredients for 6 minutes. Remove the flame .Heat ghee in the frying pan well. Now add all the cashew nuts, raisains and fry until the cashew nuts becomes golden brown color. Now add all the cashew nuts raisins to the above payasam mixture.
