Taste the Mutton Biriyani


Mutton Biriyani is the all time favourite dish for Indians. It is cooked in all Restaurants and Hotels throughout India. It is simple and easy to make at home. Listed below is the method to prepare the dish.

Ingredients:-

  • Mutton 1 kg
  • Rice 1 kg
  • Green chilies 8-10
  • Garlic ginger paste 2 tbsp
  • Fried onion 4 tbsp
  • Mint 1 bunch
  • Lemons 2
  • Cooking oil as required
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves 4 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 2 tsp
  • Cardamom 2 pieces
  • Cinnamon 2 tsp
  • Yoghurt 1 cup

Cooking Method:-

Step 1: Wash mutton finely and grind green chilies, garlic, ginger and all spices together and add in meat.
Step 2: Then add yoghurt and leave it for half an hour. 
Step 3: Boil the rice and take out when semi-cooked. 
Step 4: Cook mixture of meat and other spices on stove over low flame till it tender. 
Step 5: Add boiled rice in it and add mint leaves and coriander leaves and simmer for 15 minutes. 
Step 6: Tasty mutton biryani is ready.
Step 7: You can serve hot with salad.

Taste the spicy hyderabadi chicken biriyani


For those who like spicy food, the hyderabadi chicken biriyani should be the right choice. It is the right food for a party. Listed below is the method to prepare this biriyani.

Ingredients:
  • Chicken – 1 ½ kg (cut into small pieces)
  • Yogurt – 1 cup
  • Long Grain Rice – 1 kg
  • Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
  • Ginger and Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
  • Juice of Lemons – 4
  • Fresh Mint Leaves – 1 bunch
  • Whole black peppercorns – 6
  • Green Chilies – 4 chopped
  • Small cardamoms – 6
  • Onion – 2 medium size, evenly sliced
  • Banaspathi Ghee or Cooking oil – 2 cups
  • Yellow food color – ½ tsp (soaked in ½ cup milk)
  • Salt to taste

Method to prepare
  • Wash chicken pieces in cold water and drain well.
  • In a separate bowl mix the ginger and garlic paste and red chili powder with yoghurt.
  • Add chicken pieces to it.
  • Leave for 30 minutes.
  • Now cook on low heat without adding water to chicken.
  • Remove from heat when the water dries up.
  • In a separate pan heat cooking oil and fry the onions, mint leaves, 3-4 cardamoms and lemon juice.
  • Boil the rice in a large pan until the rice is parboiled. 
  • Now take another pan and grease it and then add half the rice and then the chicken mixture and then cover with the rest of the rice.
  • Sprinkle with food color.
  • Place the pan on a hot tawa and cook in low heat for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, fluff it and serve hot.
  • You can have this with no side dish. It is easy to prepare for bachelors. Enjoy making hyderabadi biriyani on weekends. You will love eating this.
