Cabbage the queen of vegetarian

Today we are going to see about new recipe made on Andhra style. The cabbage leaves are very delicate, with waxy coating and powdery. Cabbage has many benefits like riboflavin. This dish will be liked by kids and adults.  This can be used as a simple mid day meals. Even the left over’s can be used for grilled sandwich with has good vitamins and a quick lunch box meal for the kids. Here I give you the best recipe in different taste.

  Ingredients:
  •  ½ head cabbage
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  •  ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • Dry red chilly tear and take the seeds out
  • Curry leaves
  • ½ Ginger tsp
  • Asafoetida
  • Green chillies
  • Tumeric powder 
  •  Coriander powder
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh grated coconut.
  • Split gram dal 1 tsp

Method to prepare:
                                    
Heat the kadai with coconut oil. Add all the mustard seeds and allow it to splutter. Add cumin seeds and urad dal and allow it to be in low flame. Add dry chilies, green chilies and curry leaves, asafetida and turmeric powder and thus allow it to saute in for few minutes. Now you cut the cabbage in slices and then combine well. Cook the mixture without the lid for 9 to 10 minutes. Lower the flame and then place the lid closed and cook for 15minutes and stir it well. Remove the lid off and add coriander powder and salt to mix. Garnish the chopped coriander or grated coconut .Serve this with warm rice and rotis. It is always good to add grated coconut at the end of the cooking process.
