Dry Fish Pickle


Dry fish pickle is the most mouthwatering dish that can be added with rice, chapatti, dosa, Idils, upma and so on. This dry fish can be prepared in easy way with excellent taste. 

Ingredients:

  • Dry fish cut into pieces- ½ kg
  • Sesame oil- 1 cup
  • Mustard powder- 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder- 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
  • Chilly powder- 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic sliced- 1 tsp
  • Ginger- 1 tsp
  • Gutmeg powder- ¼ tsp
  • Vinegar -1 cup
  • Salt- 2 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds-1 tsp

Method to Prepare:-
Take some fishes of good kind .Wash the fish neatly and allow the fish to get dry. Now take some turmeric and salt rub well for sometimes and keep aside. Heat the pan with oil added and fry the fish with the salt and turmeric added. Fry the fish until it gets golden brown. Keep it aside for few minutes and heat rest of the oil in a separate pan until this mixture gets smoky and turn off the stove. To this mix add all the salt with the rest of the ingredients and then turn off the stove. Now cook the contents well and keep it in the tight container.
