The real taste of Brinjal rice


Brinjal the taste of vegetable. Here we can look after a new recipe in rice.

Ingredients:

  • Basmatic rice (long grain) 1 cup
  • Oval brinjals  with stem 5 medium size
  • Coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon
  •  1 stalk curry leaves
  • Cinnamon clove powder ½ tablespoon
  • Garam masala ½ tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 2 tablespoon
  • Bay leaves that can be cut into pieces
  • Cumin and mustard seeds ½ tablespoon
  • Asafetida 2 to 3pinch
  • Butter 1 tablespoon
  • Grind the mixture well:
  • Coconut grated ¼ cup
  • Green chilies 5
  • Onion large size 2
  • Coriander leaves 2 tablespoon
  • Garlic  ½ pod
  • Garlic ½ pod


Method to prepare:


       Wash the rice properly and soak the rice in salt for about 20 minutes. Keep the Brinjal stems attached and cut the Brinjal into quarters. Heat the oil in low flame and add seeds and bay leaves. Now allow the mixture to splutter. Also add Asafoetida, and curry leaves. Stir the mixture well. After that add Brinjal, garam masala, cinnamon clove powder and stir the mixture well. Drain the water from the rice. Stir the mixture for 2-3 minutes. Now add all the grind paste and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Stir gently in low flame. Add 3 cups of water and also add salt to it for taste. Cover the rice cook in simmer till the rice is done. Serve hot.
