Ultimate taste of chammeen curry


      Indian fish curry is one of the most popular dishes in the world. In fish we can prepare many dishes like tandoori, curry, and smacking. In many places fish tikkas and pakoras are the best starters in the same way they are used as curry, fish kofta curry and so on. Now we can see in detail about the preparation of chammeen curry (prawans curry).

Ingredients:
  • Prawns-300 gms
  • Coconut 1 cup
  •  Coconut oil-2 tsp
  • Red chilli - 2 nos
  • Shallot – 4nos
  • Green chillie-4nos
  • Curry leaves- 2 stalks
  • Kokkum- 2nos
  • Chilli powder- ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  • Tumeric powder- ½ tsp
  • Mustard – ½ tsp
  •  Ginger- 2cm
  • Garlic-2clove
  • Water as required
  • Salt  as required.


Method to prepare chammeen curry:
        Make a fine paste of coconut, garlic, coriander powder, shallots and turmeric powder. Now take the prawns and clean well. After that mix the prawans, chilli powder, kokum and green chillies, ginger and salt. Mix well using a big spoon. Now add water to this mixture and cook for 10 minutes. Now add the ground paste and cook for 5 minutes. Take a pan and add oil heat well. Add one teaspoon mustard seeds, sliced shallot, red chillie and curry leaves .Now fry them till golden brown. Add the curry this mixture and then transfer the mixture to a best serving dish. Enjoy the taste of chammeen in different flavor.
